personally love to shop in
stores for my
nightgowns as it is more
fun and make sure the
length is what I want.

Ah, nightgowns and other sleep-wear styles! Long nightgowns with mega-sweeps, short
baby-dolls, silky pajamas and just everything in-between are wonderful to wear and so much
fun! Now, I don't know about you, but some of my fondest early memories of "dressing-up"
when I was little was wearing my sister's nightgowns. In those days, little girl nightgowns had
more lace and embroidery than in more recent times and tended to be longer in length. Some
were soft cotton, but softer, silkier fabrics were definitely available and fortunately for me, my
sister liked the silky styles! The best part was my mother LOVED silky nightgowns and I grew
into wearing them as I got older. All of that influenced my adoration for nightgowns!

Sissy Lounger - This is my first original custom-design with Miss Shirley at sew-creations.com. I "discovered" her
looking for rumba panties and was intrigued with her offer to custom-design or fit any of her posted outfits on her
web page. I emailed her at sewsewshirley@bellsouth.net and we began talking about my very favorite jumper that I
had in the 70's that I just wore out. I had in my head that with Miss Shirley's help, I could not only re-create that
wonderful sleepwear, but could improve it with the proper length (it was store-bought at J C Penny's and a little too
short in the arms and legs, but I couldn't do anything about that at the time). With a few simple question on size and
fabric (I simply ADORE Vanity Fair Tricot nylon), Miss Shirley started work on my "dream" outfit.
As you can see, we added some sissy-extras like white-lace at the waist, collar, wrists and pants cuffs. Miss
Shirley made the wrist lace bigger so that there is the illusion of making my hands smaller and more demure. I am
showing the lacy waist to illustrate, but the top part is long enough to kind of blouse-over the waist. The whole outfit
is pulled on at the neck and elastic at all of the openings keep things in place and don't ride up anywhere. Miss
Shirley added the little removable bows and ribbons for that added sweetness. This lounger is incredibly
comfortable and I LOVE being covered all over in Vanity Fair Tricot nylon! Miss Shirley can make this out of most
any fabric, but if the fabric you want will not wear well, she will guide you to a satisfactory alternative. Miss Shirley
wants to make clients happy and coming back for years, like I have!

measurements (I gave Miss Shirley too short a length on the top) but I actually kind of like it this way. Not a true
baby doll style, but it shows off my matching bottoms better, I think.
